Director of Advanced Planning
Travis Johnson is the Director of Advanced Planning at Hemington Wealth Management where she provides oversight to the firms’ wealth advisors and ensures that all Hemington clients benefit from the most creative and advanced financial planning solutions possible. She provides customized, comprehensive wealth management solutions and has deep subject matter expertise in income tax planning, equity compensation, benefit/retirement planning, estate planning and risk management. Specifically, she works with clients on researching tax issues, determining deferred compensation elections, analyzing equity compensation and assessing financial independence.
For her entire career spanning 25 years, Travis has acted as personal CFO to ultra-high and high net worth individuals, small business owners and executives of Fortune 500 companies. In addition to her financial planning and wealth management experience, Travis also has experience as an analyst in advanced tax planning and preparation and was a valuable member of her previous firm’s tax department.
Travis earned her Bachelor of Science degree from George Mason University and her CFP® Professional Education from the College for Financial Planning. Travis is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a Registered Investment Advisor.
Outside of financial planning, Travis is a Board Member and Treasurer of Lara’s League, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has partnered with The Inova Dwight and Martha Schar Cancer Institute to raise money for cancer research.
Travis lives in Ashburn, Virginia with her husband Eric and their two children.
