When you walk through the door at Hemington Wealth Management, Karen is the first person to greet you. She is a team player who ensures our clients feel welcome and her colleagues feel well-supported. In her role as Office Manager and Special Projects Coordinator, she handles the behind-the-scenes operations that help keep Hemington always at its best. She is a fabulous writer and editor, an uber-organized project manager, and is extremely detailed in exceeding expectations with each task on her plate, no matter how big or small.
She holds a BA in English (summa cum laude) from UCLA and an MA in English Education from LaSalle University in Philadelphia. Cooking, hiking and travel are her passions. With 45 U.S. states and over 15 countries under her belt, she’s hiked under the midnight sun in Alaska, climbed to the top of Kilimanjaro and dogsledded on the Norwegian tundra. Prior to joining Hemington, she was a high school English teacher and instructional coach, and she continues to be involved in education. She lives in Northern Virginia with her son and their two cats.
